Click Here | - Great tase of Japanese seasoned seaweed snack
- Healthy snack and kids love to have in their snack time
Product Description: This roasted nori has a lite, spicy flavor that our kids love. We take lots of packets with us when we go out just about anywhere, because they're healthy and we don't mind letting the kids have as many as they want when they ask for a snack - especially compared to nasty, processed, non-nutritive kids' snacks like chips, cheese puffs, cheese crackers, etc. If you've never had nori, this is the same stuff that sushi rolls are wrapped in - it's just served crispy here because it hasn't absorbed any moisture from the rice and sushi roll that it is otherwise wrapped around. |

- 100% Natural Resalable Zipper Bag
Product Description: Wakame is a kelp and looks and tastes like spinach lasagne. Wakame is similiar to Kombu and it can be used in many of the same ways, particularly in soup. Wakame is probably best used in salads, added to soup or broth or used as a topping for other dishes. Soak dried wakame in water and it will expand to about 10 -15 times in size. It can then be either simmered for 10 minutes or cut into small pieces and served as a salad. Wakame soba, a mixture of wakame and buckwheat noodles (soba) is a favourite at Japanese restaurants. Wakame because of its kelp content is rich in protein, calcium, iodine, magnesium, iron and folate. Lower rates of breast cancers have been reported in Japanese women eating a diet high in kelp. Lignans, which help fight cancer are found in high quantity in wakame (kelp) and may provide protection against certain cancers. To prepare: Soak in water for 5 minutes until tender and then use for miso soup, salads etc. Soak with cucumber & tuna in sushi vinegar for a really tasty Japanese treat. It is also frequent mixed with ginger or seasame salad dressing. It is a tender seaweed that really soaks up flavor, not hard to chew at all. To add more color and texture, we recommend to add some strip of our Six Fortune Agar Agar Strip (B000N6XX3W) and soaking with dry seaweed together. |
